The University of Cincinnati Technology Accelerator for Business leads UC's effort to move intellectual property toward commercialization. The TAC serves all commercialization, including patent decisions and management, technology transfer and business activities - all under a single umbrella. Our process is centered on several unique aspects:
Internal and external stakeholders work with faculty and staff on a self-assessment process to establish an informed foundation upon which to build individualized commercialization strategies.
Our partnerships include not only traditional resource connections but also support current urban redevelopment issues in the region.
The TAC model repositions technology transfer functions into a commercialization framework.
We emphasize building deal value along with deal quantity to increase chances for success.
TAC seeks to make our model replicable, scalable and cost-effective to address problems experienced by many universities struggling with technology transfer. Our goal is to be additive to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
TAC serves as UC’s hub of innovation and commercialization, putting focus on identifying promising technologies and bridging the financial gap between early stage potential and outside interest.
